Dr. Das is originally from Bhadrak District of Orissa. Village Baudpur, thikly bengali populated area.
He goes to Baudpur with his family every year to celebrate Durga Puja.
He started his school education from class eight. He passed matric at the age of 14 only. So, he could not go for medical collage due to under age on that very year.
He has to read Agriculture Engineering for one year. Then he allowed to join MBBS course and completed MBBS from VSS Medical collage, Burla, Sambalpur University in the year 1974.
He has completed his MD from SSKM, Kolkata. After that he joined Central Govt. Health Services and started his career at Kalla Central Hospital as Gynaecologist.
Then joined Marwari Relief Society Hospital. He has also worked for West Bengal Health Services.
His first posting was at Maynaguri Health Centre. Then posted to Siliguri Hospital. While working as a Gynei he resigned from this Govt. Sevice on Jan 01, 1992.
Then he started full fledged private practice. And opened a nursing home at Bidhan road, Siliguri.
That Nursing home shifted to Ashram tala, Pakurtala More of Siliguri established as NEW RAMKRISHNA SEVA SADAN.
He toured following countries :
SINGAPUR, THAILAND, TURKEY, RUSSIA, BELGIUM, UK, GERMANY, FRANCE, SWITZERLAND, VIETNAM & PHILLIPINES.
